Termosan Inc., established in 1973, is the story of two determined engineers whose paths first crossed in the electrical engineering department of Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey. After working on a considerable number of government projects as well as serving the private sector, these two entrepreneurs worked shoulder to shoulder to establish Termosan Inc. Today the second generation, having grown up with Termosan, is on duty in the company alongside the founders.

Termosan Inc. began to manufacture towel radiators in 1998, first as an extension and eventually as a complete replacement of the range of boilers and hot-water heaters that had been its staple product since the early 1970s. Together with the change in product, the company began to focus exclusively on exports. Termosan radiators were first marketed in the United Kingdom, which is still the leading market today.

In 2001 the company moved to Samandira, an industrial suburb of Istanbul, having outgrown its previous site. Termosan was now housed in a 2000m2 factory, which has been continually improved and expanded to serve its growing export markets.

The company, striving to bring a breath of fresh air to the radiator sector, added stainless steel radiators to its range in 2004. Thanks to these, and an explosion of decorative radiator models in more traditional materials, they received positive responses from markets around the globe. Termosan’s attempt to create a new niche in the sector was ultimately successful, simultaneously creating additional value for the products.

Termosan Inc., due to its innovation and professionalism (extending to registering design copyright in all of its markets) expertly made a new market for itself with new concepts and designs. To handle the growth in demand, the company expanded its production capacity in 2005 with a new 3000m2 site in Gebze while also continuing to produce in Samandira.

Continuing to expand and innovate, research on the use of aluminum in decorative radiators commenced in 2007. Termosan Inc. introduced its aluminum radiator concepts to the market at the beginning of 2008.

Termosan Inc. has been working with specialists in lean production, automation, ERP systems and cost control since 2006. These studies form part of a process of continuous improvement in all production and business processes, in order to be even more competitive without making the least concession in quality.

Termosan Inc. has achieved the enviable status of being one of the first names that comes to mind whenever decorative radiators are mentioned. This applies equally well in Turkey and abroad. Termosan aims to build on this awareness and move forward with innovative new product lines, targeting to be one of the top 500 Turkish exporters within the next five years.
