TOTOMAK is one of the leading machining company in Turkey. The company is established in 1950 and has grown to occupy a 10000 sq m factory area where it employs 350 personnel, the majority of whom are technical high school graduates to ensure a high quality, dedicated workforce. Totomak specializes in the machining of various metals (including cast iron, forged steel, steel bar, aluminum, copper, stamped sheet metal etc.) as well as fixture design and production. It operates on 3 shifts, 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
The current product range includes compressor components (housings, covers, plates, fittings, shafts etc.), heavy duty machine components (shafts, bolts, adapters, rings, valve plates etc.), utility equipment (brackets, rotor brakes etc.) and automotive parts (king pins, spring pins,hubs, drums, distributors, pistons, flywheel components etc.) for OEMs. These items are produced on a numerous and wide range of modern machines including CNC lathes, horizontal machining centers, vertical machining centers, cylindrical and centreless grinding machines, many with transfer facilities (total 154 machines, 105 of them are CNC).
TOTOMAK has ISO 9001 and TS ISO 16949 certificates and currently exports over 97% of its total production. Key export markets include Belgium, Germany, North Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Thailand, China, Mexico and the US. As its reputation has grown and investment in machinery has increased, the sales turnover has risen steadily to reach the 33 million Euro in 2008.
The company places a very high priority on quality with an impressive range of state of the art QA machines & equipment, including CMM machines, round tester, surface finish tester, hardness testing and effective case depth studies, magnetic particle inspection, Laser Micrometer, form tracer testing, endoscope, standard control equipment and special type electronic and air gauges.
It also has its own CAD/CAM and bar coding facilities. Thus the company works with its customers from the design/development stage to produce their requirements efficiently, economically and to a high degree of accuracy from concept to finished production volumes.
Totomak has also very qualified subcontractors such as foundries, forging companies, coating companies, heat treatment companies etc. An experienced team organizes the secondary operations in the subcontractors.
